Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust presents Reflejos Flamencos in ‘Noche Andaluza’ on July 30 at 7pm in the Liddy Doenges Theatre. This family flamenco music and dance trio of Johnny Beard, Lexi Allen and Dylan Allen returns with their Flamenco Tulsa dancers and friends to bring the passionate music and dance of southern Spain to the TPAC stage.

‘Noche Andaluza’ gives a deeper look into the tradition, the influences (such as Indian Kathak and Dance Orientale / Maghrebi Berber dance), and the evolution of the flamenco art form popularized by the Spanish gypsies. Hear the romantic melodies of the Spanish guitar, see the elegant and powerful dance, and feel the explosive rhythms. It is an unforgettable cultural experience for everyone!

TCC “Todos Juntos” Event- October 4

Reflejos Flamencos performs at TCC Southeast Campus from 6:30-7:30 for the “Todos Juntos” event series celebrating Hispanic culture.

Connor’s Cove Children’s Theatre-October 5

Reflejos Flamencos does a special performance for the Connor’s Cove Children’s Theatre from 7-8pm at the Hardesty Regional Library on 93rd & Memorial. This is a wonderful venue and a great show for the whole family!

El Guapo’s Downtown-October 14

Come see Reflejos Flamencos at El Guapo’s Restaurant in downtown Tulsa from 8-10pm! We will be performing on the second floor of the restaurant, located on 1st & Elgin.

FlamencoTULSA Halloween Fiesta!- October 23

Dancing…music…food…Flamenco Costumes!!! Come dressed in your flamenco costume for this fun flamenco party. Location: TBA.

FlamencoTULSA Classes – Every Saturday

Flamenco classes are held every Saturday at the South Tulsa Dance Co (STDC) at 103rd & Memorial.

10-11AM -FLAMENCO CHOREOGRAPHY CLASS ($15 drop in); 11:10-12PM- INTRO TO FLAMENCO DANCE ($12 drop in); 12:10-1PM- FLAMENCO FOR KIDS ($10 drop in); Percussion (Cajon) Classes & Guitar Classes are scheduled individually.

FlamencoTULSA Fall Dance Classes

On Sept. 11th FlamencoTULSA dance classes will begin for the fall semester. You can enroll through our Fall Class Schedule Page. We are offering a choreography class, adult intro class, and a children’s dance class. Classes will be held at South Tulsa Dance Company on Saturday Mornings, and if you enroll before September 4th, there is a 5% discount!

Flamenco Closet Comes to Town!

For the first day of classes we have a special treat! Alicia Harris, owner and designer of Flamenco Closet Creations, will be at the studio with flamenco skirts, dresses, shoes and other accessories for sale. This is a rare opportunity here in Tulsa so be sure and show up early to check it out! She will be at the studio at 9:15am, and the first class starts at 10am.

Lola’s at the Bowery

Reflejos Flamencos will be at Lola’s tonight, Friday August 20th at 9pm. Come and enjoy the show as well as the great food and drinks!

Cafe Flamenco

Saturday, August 31st at More than Noodles at 93rd & Riverside 7pm. Last month we packed the restaurant and had some great music and dancing, as well as a short dance class. Come back for another great event and another free flamenco dance class!

Kennedy Center Gala & Lola’s

Thursday June 3rd at 6:30pm we will be performing at the Tulsa Ballet’s Kennedy Center Gala that will be held at Southern Hills Country Club. Our own Johnny Beard and Dylan Allen will provide Flamenco and Spanish Classical guitar entertainment while guests are being seated and served, and then our trio will give a performance on the center stage, followed by the Tulsa Ballet dancers. Saturday, June 5th at 9pm we will be back at Lola’s, and this time sharing the stage with local guitarist Lon de Ada. Come out for great food and a fantastic show! As always, there is no cover charge at Lola’s.

Summer Classes, Mayfest & More!

We have a busy month ahead of us! We will have several performances at festivals and fundraisers as well as a few opportunities for the flamenco dance students to show their stuff! At the end of May we will kick off our summer dance classes so check out our class schedule and get your enrollment form turned in!

APRIL 16-18 (7:30pm, Tulsa Performing Arts Center, 2nd & Cincinnati) – You have the chance to see flamenco at the PAC! ORU’s dance department showcases a years worth of work, including two pieces choreographed by Lexi Allen from Reflejos Flamencos. Lexi’s ORU students will perform the Tango Gitano and the Livianas. MAY 1 (Whole Foods on Brookside, 41st & Peoria) – Flamenco at Whole Foods! Reflejos Flamencos will perform with Lon de Ada. Lots of healthy flamenco fun! More info to come…

MAY 2 (7pm, Tulsa Garden Center, 21st & Peoria) – Reflejos Flamencos performs for the Engineers Without Borders wine tasting to raise money to support eco-friendly construction in Bolivia. 918-437-0282.

MAY 15 (2pm, Bartlett Square, 5th & Main) – Reflejos Flamencos and ¡FlamencoTULSA! students perform at the Tulsa Mayfest. Fun for the whole family!!

MAY 22 ¡FlamencoTULSA! Summer Classes (South Tulsa Dance Co., 103rd & Memorial) – Our new summer classes start May 22nd!! Join the excitement and sign up for Intro to Flamenco Dance. This summer we are also happy to offer Flamenco por Fiesta! This class is designed to teach dance, palmas, even cajon, and jaleo for a party atmosphere or casual fun performance.
