Dance Classes

Group Class at STDC Our weekly group dance classes are held on Saturdays at the South Tulsa Dance Company on 103rd & Memorial in Tulsa, OK. We have classes for all ages and levels. You’ll get great exercise while having fun!  See our Calendar for an updated schedule of classes.

What You Need for Class:

Girls/Women should wear flamenco or character shoes, a leotard or fitted top, and ankle-length full skirt. Hair should be pulled back away from face.

Boys/Men should wear flamenco boots, long pants, and T-shirt.

Intro to Flamenco Dance

Saturdays, 11:15am-12:00pm, $10 per class, $60 entire semester, location: South Tulsa Dance Company

This is the class for flamenco beginners who want to get started in flamenco. Basic flamenco arm work, body positioning, and foot work will be covered.

Flamenco Dance Technique

Saturdays, 10:00am-10:30am, $10 per class, $60 entire semester, location: South Tulsa Dance Company

Great class for beginners as well as experienced dancers! Students learn various exercises to build stamina, grace, and will become more familiar with many flamenco rhythms. Exercises are used to teach and strengthen footwork, armwork, and flamenco body position as well as to get comfortable dancing with live guitar accompaniment.

Flamenco Dance por Fiesta

Saturdays, 10:30am-11:15am, $15 per class, $90 entire semester, location: South Tulsa Dance Company

Open to any and all dancers with at least one year of experience. Concentrates on the art of improvising and having fun with flamenco in a relaxed “party” setting. Tangos, Rumba, and Bulerias will be explored.

Children’s Flamenco Dance – Ages 4-12

Saturdays, 1:30pm-2:15pm, $10 per class, $40 entire semester, location: Reflejos Flamencos Studio

This is a fun class aimed at introducing flamenco fundamentals of movement, sound and rhythm to children. Children have fun while getting exercise and a learn about another culture! Children will also learn basic Spanish flamenco terms.

PRIVATE FLAMENCO DANCE CLASSES
