Flamenco at Lola’s
Saturday, February 20th, Reflejos Flamencos will be performing at Lola’s at the Bowery located at 5 East Brady in downtown Tulsa. Come for dinner and a show from 9pm – 11pm. No cover charge, and after last month’s show, we had great feedback on the performance and the food. We will split the performance into 4 sets leaving you plenty of time to eat and talk in between, so come hungry. If you can’t make this show, we are scheduled to return to Lola’s Saturday, March 20th.
Flamenco dance classes are going great. There is still room in our beginner’s sevillanas class, as well as the flamenco dance technique, drop-ins welcome! For more info see our Spring 2010 Class page

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and we would like to wish you a happy new year filled with many blessings!! 2010 brings more opportunities to see exciting flamenco shows and if you haven’t already, maybe even try some flamenco classes yourself!
CLASSES! Flamenco classes start Saturday, January 9th from 10am-12:45pm at the South Tulsa Dance Co. on 103rd & Memorial. Classes being offered include a Sevillanas class (traditional Spanish partner dance), flamenco dance technique (which covers fundamentals of flamenco form, movement and footwork), flamenco dance choreography (we’ll be learning a Tango flamenco!), and flamenco for kids. Don’t forget guitar and percussion classes are also available at request!

The Tulsa Guitar Society put out a few videos from the Guitars Gone Wild II concert at the PAC a few months ago and we wanted to share them with you. There is a rather long intro, but just wait, Lexi does eventually get up and dance! You can find the other videos at youtube.com/reflejosflamencos .
We also uploaded some new pictures to the Gallery of our classes, Festival Hispano ’09, and a going away party we had for our student Heloisa who recently moved back to Brazil with her husband.
